Helen Geneva Scott(February 22, 1944 - January 5, 2012)
The Funeral Services for Helen Geneva Scott are 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012 at the St. Paul Baptist Church, 4517 North Main Street, Columbia, SC with burial in Promised Land Cemetery.
Ms. Helen G. Scott was born on February 22, 1941, in Warsaw, Virginia, to the late Joseph and Elisa Marie Scott. She transitioned peacefully to Glory on the morning of Thursday, January 5, 2012, at the Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Columbia, South Carolina.
Helen attended and graduated from the public schools of Warsaw County, Virginia. She accepted the Lord as her Saviour at an early age at Second Baptist Church in Warsaw. She worked an retired from Regis Bank in Washington, D. C. after many years of loyal service.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by nine siblings.
Helen leaves to cherish precious memories to her loving and devoted daughter, Saundra (Tyrell) Pack; three grandchildren, Raven, DeTavian, Tyshaw, all of Columbia; brother, Eugene (Lynette) Scott of Warsaw, Virginia; sisters, Pattie Gardner of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Rachel Roase of Warsaw, Virginia; a special niece, Stacy Boyd of Warsaw, Virginia; and a host of loving family members, friends and the most attentive staff of Magnolia manor Nursing Home.
