Her early education was received in Manning, South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education at Allen University of Columbia, South Carolina, and did her post graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania and other colleges.
Connetta retired as a very dedicated elementary teacher from the Philadelphia School District and spent her life positively effecting young lives as well as helping others strive for success during the critical times in America.
Likewise spiritually, she faithfully served God and her church, Zion African Method Episcopal Church of Philadelphia, in many capacities as a very dedicated willing worker throughout her years until her health failed her.
Even then, during her illness, she became well known in the University of Pennsylvania Center for Rehabilitation and Care for her participation in numerous activities and even as a volunteer reading tutor of elementary children. All of the staff and residents of that facility will remember and miss her actions, performances, and quiet spirit.
