Funeral Services for Mary Ann McKenzie Hall will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 110 Greenlake Drive with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mary Ann McKenzie Hall was born December 10, 1933 to the late Robert and Mamie McKenzie. She gracefully departed this earth to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 5, 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mary Ann Hall was a pillar of strength and always inspired others to be their very best. She was well respected and treated others with honor and dignity. Mrs. Hall was a prideful woman who was determined to see her dreams become a reality and in her presence you felt blessed to have her as part of your life.
At a very early age, she started her faithful journey as a member of The Goodwill Baptist Church. After marriage she devoted several years to the Daughter of Zion Baptist Church and later joined the Unity Missionary Baptist Church family.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her dedicated and loving husband, John Smith Hall, Sr.; four children, Carolyn (Lee) Savage of Charlotte, NC, John (Marie) Hall of Eastover, SC, Wilma Pollard of Atlanta, GA, and Jerry (Wanda) Hall of Eastover, SC; three sisters, Alberta (Victor) Browley and Louise (Joe) Greene, both of Columbia, SC and Margaret (Robert) Lloyd of Philadelphia, PA. She also leaves to cherish her precious memories six grandchildren, Jarvis C. Hall, Sr., Kenyon (Jessica) Hall, Jarmeka Hall, Kimberly Hall, Ethen Ponard, and Tayler Hall; one great-grandson, Jarvis C. Hall, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other caring relatives.
