Funeral Services for Bobby Russell Fair will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 in St. Paul Baptist Church, 4517 North Main Street with burial in Promised Land Cemetery.
Bobby Russell Fair was born October 4, 1942 in Richland County, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Mardell Fair. On Friday, December 9, 2011,
Mr. Fair entered into eternal rest after a long illness. Bobby was educated in the public schools of Richland County. He was an avid fisherman and loved traveling. He attended St. James A.M.E. Church, and later moved hismembership to Ridgewood Baptist Church in Columbia,SC.
Throughout his adult life, until his health failed, he was employed with Columbia Hospital, The University of South Carolina, Richland School District One, Schneider Trucking, and the Yard Contractor. He was the Vice President of the Tenant’s Association of Christopher Towers.
Bobby will be remembered best for his outgoing personality and great sense of humor. He loved his familyand friends and will be dearly missed by all. Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Mardell Fair, and a brother, Pernell Fair.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son, James Russell(Brenda) Fair of Gadsden, SC; his sister, Loretta (Willie“Chuck”) Qualls of Elgin, SC; his brother, Albert Fair of Columbia, SC; a granddaughter, Ariel Fair; nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
