Gladys "Susie Mae" Ray Brown(April 30, 1939 - January 1, 2012)
Funeral Arrangements for Mrs. Susie Mae Brown are held Wednesday, January 11, 2012 - 1pm at Bethel A M E Church (1024 F. R. Huff Drive, St. Matthews, SC), Reverend Raymond Pinckey, Jr. officiating.
Mrs. Gladys Rump-Ray- Brown "Susie Mae", a resident of St. Matthews, SC passed into eternal peace on Sunday, January 1, 2012. Born on April 30, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Simzy Rump and raise by the late Jasper and Ruth Sutton.
At an early age, "Susie Mae" accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Bethel AME Church. She worked in Rock Away Beach, NY as a doll-maker.
She was the wife of the late William Brown, Sr. "Susie Mae" reared many children to include: Cookie McFadden, Brian Sutton, the lake Jackie Sutton, Kelvin Brown Sylvia Brown, Stephan (Desha) Greene, and Jauvan Greene.
She was preceded in death by two siblings, Annie Ruth "Merk" Sutton and John Sutton, Jr.
"Susie Mae" leaves to cherish her precious memories her two sisters, Catherine Brown and Pearlie Mae Tucker; a special cousin, Irvin Greene; her step-children, Tony, Trudy, Lester,Darnel, Erick and William, Jr.; grandchildren, Jackie, Markres and Darius Sutton; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
